Buying guide

What to look for when choosing a humanoid?

Not every humanoid is built for the same job. One excels at heavy lifting on the factory floor, another is designed for the home. When comparing, weigh these four points to find the model that fits your situation.

Application & tasks

Start by defining the tasks: lifting, walking, assembling or assisting at home.

Payload & reach

How much must the robot carry, and how agile and fast does it need to be?

Autonomy & battery

A longer runtime means fewer interruptions during a shift.

Availability & support

Is the model for sale, in pilot or still in research — and is there support in Europe?

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about humanoids

E.g. an ambient shot of a humanoid in action.

What is a humanoid robot?+
A humanoid is a robot with a human body plan — a torso, arms and legs (or a mobile base) — so it can work in spaces and with tools designed for people.
What does a humanoid robot cost in 2026?+
It varies widely. Research models start around $16,000 (Unitree G1), a consumer model like the 1X NEO sits around $20,000, while most industrial models are available on request or via lease.
Can I already buy a humanoid as a consumer?+
Only a few models ship to consumers — the 1X NEO is the first of them. Most others are still running B2B pilots or are research-only.
Which humanoids are already deployed commercially?+
Mainly in logistics and manufacturing. Agility Digit is used in warehouses, and models like Figure 02 and Apptronik Apollo are running pilots at manufacturers.
How often is this information updated?+
We refresh the specs periodically based on public manufacturer information. Specs may change as models evolve.
