Summary
Figure 03, announced in October 2025 and named one of TIME's Best Inventions of 2025, is Figure AI's home-and-scale generation. It is about 9% lighter than Figure 02, adds 3-gram tactile fingertip sensitivity, palm cameras and soft washable textile coverings, and charges wirelessly through an inductive foot coil.
Figure 03 is controlled by Helix, Figure's proprietary vision-language-action model that drives the upper body at 200 Hz with zero-shot manipulation. The design cuts actuator cost from roughly $1,200 on Figure 01 to under $400 and uses about 40% fewer parts. Figure is targeting home tasks — laundry, dishes, cleaning — alongside commercial use, with partner testing underway and consumer availability targeted for late 2026. Its BotQ facility is built for 12,000 units a year initially, scaling toward 100,000 over four years. A consumer price near $20,000 has been floated but remains unconfirmed.
