Summary
Digit is Agility Robotics' bipedal logistics robot and the most-validated humanoid deployment to date. Agility reported in November 2025 that Digit had moved over 100,000 totes at GXO's Flowery Branch facility, where it was first deployed in June 2024 in the industry's first humanoid Robots-as-a-Service contract.
Digit is unusual among humanoids: its backward-bending, bird-like legs are optimised for stability and energy efficiency rather than for resembling a human. The robot autonomously moves totes, loads conveyors, recovers from falls and charges itself, and is managed through the Agility Arc cloud platform that integrates with warehouse management systems. Agility sells Digit primarily as a managed service, targeting a sub-two-year return on investment against fully-loaded human labour, and is scaling production at its RoboFab factory in Salem, Oregon. The announced v5 generation raises payload toward 50 lb (about 22.6 kg).
