Aggressive pricing on bipedal and quadruped robotics from China.

Unitree first made a name with its Laikago and Go quadrupeds, then jumped into humanoids with the H1 in 2023 and the consumer-priced G1 in 2024. The company is known for undercutting Western competitors on price by an order of magnitude.

Unitree's approach pairs aggressive vertical integration with a price-driven go-to-market: G1 starts around $16,000, far below comparable Western platforms. Critics question robustness, ecosystem and serviceability outside China, but the company has clearly accelerated the timeline for affordable humanoid hardware.
