Aggressive pricing on bipedal and quadruped robotics from China.

Unitree first made a name with its Laikago and Go quadrupeds, then jumped into humanoids with the H1 in 2023 and the consumer-priced G1 in 2024. The company is known for undercutting Western competitors on price by an order of magnitude.

Unitree's approach pairs aggressive vertical integration with a price-driven go-to-market: G1 starts around $16,000, far below comparable Western platforms. Critics question robustness, ecosystem and serviceability outside China, but the company has clearly accelerated the timeline for affordable humanoid hardware. Unitree reported shipping over 5,500 humanoid robots in 2025 and is widely reported as the only profitable humanoid company.
