Galaxy General

Beijing maker of wheeled dual-arm manipulators, China's most-funded humanoid startup.

Galaxy General (Galbot), founded in May 2023, builds semi-humanoid mobile manipulators on wheeled bases rather than bipedal legs. Its G1 robot is in commercial pilots across Beijing retail stores, while the heavy-duty S1 runs on CATL battery lines.

Galbot's edge is software: it has developed three proprietary vision-language-action models — GraspVLA, GroceryVLA and TrackVLA — that handle some 5,000 product types with reported 95–97% grasp success, working alongside NVIDIA Isaac Sim. The company raised roughly $453 million across two rounds in 2025, making it China's most-funded humanoid startup, with an RMB 1.1 billion (~$153M) round led by CATL and Puquan and backers including Alibaba, Meituan, HKIC, a Bosch joint venture and Qiming. It is targeting 500 units in 2026.
