Dobot

Established collaborative-arm maker that entered humanoids with the low-cost Atom.

Dobot (Shenzhen Yuejiang Technology), founded in 2015, built its business on collaborative and educational robotic arms before launching its first full-size humanoid, Atom, for global delivery in June 2025. Atom is notable for an aggressive price point of around US$27,500.

Dobot brings years of precision robotic-arm manufacturing to the humanoid race, emphasising affordability, repeatability and manipulation. The Atom uses a transformer-based control architecture with binocular RGB vision and ±0.05 mm precision, and a straight-leg walking system the company says cuts energy use by about 42% versus bent-knee gaits. A higher-end Atom Max adds 41 degrees of freedom, dual 7-DOF arms with a 5 kg payload, 6-DOF dexterous hands and 1,500 TOPS of compute. Dobot's existing global distribution from its arm business gives it an unusually broad sales reach for a new humanoid entrant.
