Clone Robotics

Building anatomically accurate musculoskeletal humanoid robots

Clone Robotics is a Polish-American startup developing anatomically accurate humanoid robots powered by over 1,000 artificial 'Myofiber' muscles, targeting household use cases such as cooking and cleaning.

Clone Robotics takes a radically bio-inspired approach to robot design, modelling its platforms on the human musculoskeletal system with a polymer skeleton featuring 206 bones and more than 1,000 Myofiber artificial muscles. The company's flagship prototype, Protoclone, was publicly shown in January 2025 and is designed with over 200 degrees of freedom — far exceeding conventional humanoid platforms. Current prototypes use a pneumatic actuation system (500 W pump), with hydraulic actuation planned for future iterations. Clone Robotics is targeting household applications including cooking and cleaning, and has announced a limited production run of 279 units of its upcoming Clone Alpha platform.
