XPeng
Chinese EV maker turning its automotive AI and chips toward the IRON humanoid.
XPeng, a Guangzhou-based electric-vehicle manufacturer, is developing the IRON humanoid, with a next-generation version unveiled at its AI Day on 5 November 2025 and mass production targeted for the end of 2026.
The next-generation IRON carries 82 degrees of freedom total and 22 DOF per hand using what XPeng calls the industry's smallest harmonic joint, three Turing AI chips delivering 2,250 TOPS, and an industry-first all-solid-state battery, with customisable male and female physiques. It runs XPeng's VLA 2.0 'Physical AI' stack. A viral catwalk demo prompted CEO He Xiaopeng to unzip the robot's skin on stage to prove it was a machine. Baosteel is an inspection partner; payload and official height and weight for the 2025 unit are not disclosed.
