RobotEra
Tsinghua-incubated humanoid robotics at commercial scale
RobotEra is a Beijing-based humanoid robotics company founded in 2023 as a Tsinghua University incubation, now commercially deploying robots across logistics centers in China. The company has raised over $411 million from backers including SF Group, Geely Capital, Alibaba, Haier, and Hillhouse.
RobotEra has moved faster than almost any peer from founding to commercial deployment, partnering with China Post and SF Group to operate humanoid robots across more than ten logistics centers. The company develops over 95% of its components in-house, including direct-drive dexterous hands that have been adopted for research by NVIDIA, Apple, and Boston Dynamics. Its L7 model alone attracted over $70 million in commercial orders, signalling strong enterprise demand. Successive funding rounds — a Series A+ led by Geely Capital in November 2025, a $143 million strategic round in March 2026, and a round of over $200 million led by SF Group in May 2026 — have given RobotEra a war chest to expand manufacturing capacity and international reach. Other backers include BAIC, IDG, and CICC.
