Apptronik
Texas-based humanoid builder developing Apollo for logistics and manufacturing partners.
Apptronik spun out of the Human Centered Robotics Lab at the University of Texas at Austin. Its Apollo humanoid targets warehouse and factory work and was launched in collaboration with NASA's general-purpose humanoid research lineage. Mercedes-Benz is a public pilot customer.
Apollo is a mid-sized bipedal humanoid built around proprietary linear actuators that Apptronik has been developing since the company's founding. The team positions Apollo as a practical platform — payload, runtime and serviceability are emphasised over flashy demos — and a 2025 round led by B Capital and Capital Factory funded the move into production volumes.
